Dan Bissell
Pray for
Veronica, Amanda, and Gabrielle. Pray for their health and
safety. Pray that their time while Rachael and I are away
will be light and trouble-free and that they would not worry
or be anxious.
Pray that I
will be wise and discerning as we seek to follow Christ’s
lead. Pray that God would make me a servant.
Pray that
the team will have safe and enjoyable travel and that all of
the luggage will arrive with the team.
Pray that
God will continue to work in the lives of the teachers we
have ministered to in the schools there. Pray that we will
be able to contact these teachers. Pray for the salvation
of those who don’t know Jesus.
Pray for
unity and love within the team; that our love and regard for
one another will be evident and appealing to those we meet.
Pray that each member will seek to serve the others.
Pray that
we will be reunited with friends from previous years. Pray
that God will use those relationships to strengthen and grow
his church in Beius.
Pray that
we will understand God’s glory more and more as we seek to
worship him, and that we will see his glory in Beius. (top)
Rachael Bissell
I am afraid to fly although I have
done it several times. Pray for peace and comfort during
all aspects of the flight. Pray that I will be able to
sleep on the flight so that I will not be overly tired when
we arrive, and will be ready to jump right in.
Pray for my
health.
For
Veronica, Amanda, and Gabrielle while we are away. That
Christ would surround them and that all evil would be kept
away. For their health, that not one of them will find
themselves feeling under the weather at all during the week
and for peace and comfort while we are gone and that their
week would be fun, easy going and without worry.
For my
parents Richard and Gertrude Chavez, and the Barrett’s who
will be taking over the care of the girls. That they would
be blessed with an extra measure of energy and patience.
That the week would be smooth without any thing major
happening.
That I will
love my fellow team with an unconditional love. That I will
serve them, and that I will put their needs and desires
above my own.
Above all that God will use me in a
mighty way, that I would be brought closer to him and that
He would be glorified in all things.

Physical
health and strength.
God’s love
for the Romanian people
For God to
build bridges with former friends.
God would
give us words to speak and opportunities to share the Gospel
of Christ.
That God would establish his church in
Romania.(top)
Ed Hughs
Pray for me to genuinely love the
Romanians.
Pray that I
would come to a greater heart understanding of the gospel
and it would show in my life.
Pray for me
to have a teachable spirit and a willing, and loving heart.
That God
would be preparing hearts to hear the Gospel and at least
one “special” new contact in Romania for each team member.
Pray
especially for two young men, Radu and Cristi, and their
families that Patty and I have been involved with over the
years. Pray that this would be a time for discipling them,
witnessing to their families, and that they would get a
vision for serving God in Romania.
The Romania
teams have been involved with a number of teachers in their
classrooms over the years. This trip we want to concentrate
on encouraging and studying the Bible with these same
teachers and their husbands in the evenings. Pray that this
would be possible and that they would be ministered to.
Pray for
our times in the classroom that our presentations, skits,
etc. would give those kids a clear vision of Christ and
salvation through Him.
For God to
build, prepare, and use His team to build His Kingdom in
Romania. Especially in light of the Hartman’s starting
their ministry in Romania and our desire to see a church
plant in Beius.
For the
team to continue to come together with unity in love,
purpose and vision for the Gospel in Romania and our own
lives.
Praise that
God has provided everything necessary to send the entire
team to Romania.
Health for
all the Romania team members and their families before and
during the mission trip.
Health, safety and spiritual strength
for Amy staying at home by herself. There have been several
burglaries during the day in our neighborhood recently and
that is a concern for Amy’s safety as she comes and goes to
school. (top)
Patty Hughs
That God
would put a hedge of protection around Amy, Erin and Dave,
Ryan and Amy and all our team’s families while we’re gone.
For safe
and restful travel, that our luggage would arrive with us.
For deep
love among our team members.
That God
would grow my love for him and that love would fuel my
ministry in Beius.
That
teachers and their husbands would be richly blessed by
evening Bible studies, that the worth and work of Christ
would be clear and compelling and would result in deeper
trust in him.
That
classroom time would make the gospel clear and winsome and
kids would be saved.
That we
will be able to spend quality time with 3 families that we
are close to. Each of these families has believing
children. Pray the parents would receive Christ.
That young
men and women and teachers would be prepared to be leaders
in Romania for the kingdom of God.
For my
energy and health, that it would remain at a high level.
That the Spirit would empower me when
I speak to be clear about the gospel and that Christ would
be glorified.(top)
Robin Curry
I will be
leaving Tim with the boys and all the responsibilities that
entails. He hopes to take them to the mountains for some
male bonding ritual called camping. He has been more than
wonderful about this; please pray extra special blessings on
him.
My final
prep on a talk about Prayer. I will be giving this talk to
an unknown group of women. There is so much to say and due
to translation it needs to be both short and simple. Please
pray I will say just what the Lord wants them to hear.
Health and
safety for each member of the team, unity of spirit as we
spend 10 intense days together. That God would grant us
love and grace in our relationships with each other.
To be able
to really hit the ground running, that no time would be
wasted in logistics of getting into classrooms, meeting with
people and arranging the discipleship seminars.
That each
member of the team sense early on and pursue the plan God
has for His glory and the furtherance of His kingdom in
Beius.
I appreciate your love and support in
this adventure. I also look forward to telling you about
how God answered your prayers in Beius Romania. (top)
Laurel Tessier
Safety and
well being for Eric, Ben, Nikki, Rachel, and Katie while I
am gone. I pray that Eric will be able to have the parenting
skills of both a mother and father while I am away.
Good health, especially of the
digestive track, for me while in Romania. Please
pray that God will keep in my heart
A boldness to speak the gospel to the
Romanian people. (top)
